Conditions we
specialise in

Most back and spine conditions can be treated without large open surgery. Click any condition to watch a short explanation from Dr. Salami.

01

Slipped Disc
(Disc Herniation)

The most common cause of severe back and leg pain. Often treatable without open surgery through endoscopic discectomy.

02

Sciatica &
Nerve Pain

Sharp pain running from the lower back into the leg. A nerve signal, usually from disc pressure that can be relieved precisely.

03

Spinal
Stenosis

Narrowing of the spinal canal causing leg weakness. Endoscopic decompression opens space without destabilising the spine.

04

Chronic Lower
Back Pain

Persistent pain lasting more than 12 weeks. We identify the structural cause and offer targeted treatment rather than lifelong medication.

05

Spondylolisthesis

A vertebra slipping forward over another, causing instability and pain. Treated endoscopically where possible to preserve mobility.

From diagnosis to daily life - a clear path forward

Understanding the recovery journey reduces fear. Most patients are surprised by how quickly they return to normal activity with endoscopic techniques.

Day 0 - Consultation
Full diagnosis & imaging review
MRI reviewed in detail. Condition explained clearly. Surgical need determined - most patients do not need surgery at first visit.
Day 1 - Procedure
Endoscopic surgery, under 90 minutes
Small 8mm incision. No general anaesthesia required in most cases. The endoscope targets only the affected disc or nerve.
→
Day 1-2 - First Steps
Walking within hours of surgery
Most patients walk the same day. Discharge usually within 24 hours. Pain medication is minimal compared to open surgery.
4
Week 2-4 - At Home
Returning to light activity
Light walking, sitting comfortably, daily tasks. Physiotherapy begins to rebuild strength around the healed spine.
5
Month 1-3 - Recovery
Back to work and full mobility
Office workers typically return at 2-4 weeks. Manual workers at 6-8 weeks. Full recovery by 3 months for most patients.
“

Every patient deserves to understand exactly what is wrong, what can be done about it, and what recovery will genuinely look like - before any decision is made.

Words from those
who recovered

“

I had lived with sciatica for three years. After the endoscopic procedure, the leg pain disappeared within two days. I walked out of the hospital the next morning.

What I appreciated most was the clarity. He showed me my MRI, explained exactly what was wrong, and told me honestly that I had options. No pressure. Just facts.

After two failed surgeries abroad, I came here as a last resort. The team identified the issue immediately. Three months later I'm running again.

Answers that help you
decide with confidence

Patients often come with fear shaped by misinformation. These are the questions we hear most, answered plainly by Dr. Salami.

Book a Consultation
Is endoscopic spine surgery safe? +

Yes. Endoscopic spine surgery is one of the safest approaches to spinal intervention. Because the incision is only 8mm and surrounding muscles are not cut, risks of infection, blood loss, and nerve damage are significantly lower than open surgery.

Will I need general anaesthesia? +

In most cases, no. Many endoscopic procedures are performed under local anaesthesia with sedation - you are relaxed and comfortable but not fully unconscious. This makes recovery significantly faster.

How do I know if I actually need surgery? +

Most patients don't, but Dr. Salami will tell you honestly if that's the case. Surgery is considered only when conservative treatments have failed, or when there is nerve damage that won't recover without decompression.

What should I bring to my first consultation? +

Bring any recent MRI or CT scans, a summary of previous treatments, and a list of your symptoms. If your scans are older than 18 months, a fresh MRI may be recommended before or after the consultation.

How long does recovery actually take? +

Most patients walk within hours of the procedure. Desk workers return to work at 2–4 weeks. Manual jobs at 6–8 weeks. Athletes return to sport by 3 months. These timelines are significantly faster than open surgery.

Can my condition be treated without surgery? +

Absolutely. Many patients with disc herniations, sciatica, and mild stenosis respond well to physiotherapy, injections, and activity modification. We always recommend the least invasive effective option first.
